Lisa & Jay's Wedding

Around the beginning of the year, I was contacted by a couple looking for something different for their wedding desert.  Lisa and Jay were interested in a build your own cupcake bar, an idea I had catered for a few parties in the past.  A build your own cupcake bar is what it sounds like.  A bunch of bare cupcakes (its best to do this in mini cupcakes, so everyone can try more than one flavor), several varieties of frosting, and a selection of sprinkles.

I worked closely with Lisa in deciding every element of the cupcake bar.   Lisa and Jay are big strawberry cake fans, so they chose to have chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry cupcakes.  I made chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, peanut butter, and lemon frosting, and provided toasted coconut, graham cracker crumbs, almond pieces, sprinkles, and chocolate for the toppings.

I'm so glad that Lisa and Jay shared these photos with me.  Its so amazing to see how someone has taken something I made and completely made it their own.  Their wedding looked like it was absolutely beautiful, and I'm glad I could play a small part in their special day!

If you live in the Temple area and are interested in having a cupcake bar catered, or just want to order a dozen for yourself, check out my baking site Amy's Vegan Confections.

That is so cute!! What a great idea. Is that at the Barr Mansion? That place is so pretty.

I met you at your sister's bday thingy a couple of weeks ago. I think you're super cool.
